Fast customer service but poor quality product.

I ordered two pieces. One was very easy to install, the other not so much. The hot wire screw was not tightened or loosened because the fastener on the back was not properly tightened. I couldn't open a terminal to fix this. I contacted the company and they quickly replaced the outlet and assured me it was tested. Nice try. I have the same problem when I change the outlet. At the moment it was outside the 30 day window so they wouldn't give me a refund but offered to send a third replacement…

PASSED 2 OF 2. BEST OPTION IS TO BUY THE PLUG-IN VARIANTS AND NOT REPLACE THE SOCKETS

Two of these installed about 7 months ago. One in the guest room and one in my office. Guests said that this room is free. I'm not sure if it was a bad cable or what. Today my trackpad was not working, kept disconnecting. After a lot of troubleshooting I found that it doesn't load. Tested the cable and then the USB socket on this device. Excellent kit. Easy enough to install and charge with REAL 5v 2A!

Installed today. Installation is easy enough, although the instructions are a little lackluster. I suppose you really need to know what you're doing if you're messing around with the network anyway. The charger works very well. I checked it with a multimeter - the photo is attached - both ports deliver full 5V and full 2A to charge the iPads at the same time. Great outlet, some options are missing

This is a great little outlet for the price. Two caveats though: 1. This outlet does NOT support switchable outlets. If you have a switch that supplies power to one of the outlets in the outlet you are replacing and you want it to stay that way, this is NOT for you. This wasn't a deal killer for me as all the lights are Wi-Fi bulbs.2. This socket supports side wiring (wrap around a screw instead of straight on the back).
