Everything above the stool was as described, but a rubber screw on the legs was missing. Without them, it scratches our hardwood floors. I emailed the company and made a complaint on their website asking for a new leg (as per the documentation that came with the stools). I have not received an answer and it has been more than two days.

Great stools. It is also easy to assemble. However, they tip over very easily and can damage the floor if care is not taken. I got rid of her. The stools kept tipping over when my grandchildren sat on them. You can't ask anyone to sit perfectly still and if that's the case then it's not the best stool, here it is. Also knocked a chunk out of my tile floor when it fell on the floor too. Too risky to have around.

I bought it to use when I draw or sit at the drafting table. The chair weighs about 25 pounds. Appears to be well built. Got it half an hour ago. There should have been four rings along with the bolts, but I only got three. Can't use three. The footrest didn't fit equally on either side, although I tried to force it. However, the flatness of the footrest did not appear to be compromised. There aren't many screws, so you shouldn't have any trouble with assembly. I'm sure after a while this stool

I LOVE these bar stools. They are solid, durable and beautiful. I only took off one star because the instructions only had pictures with letters AND the letters spelling/numbering the pieces were pastel pink and yellow so we grabbed a magnifying glass and sorted it out. After assembling the 1st stool, we were able to assemble 4 stools in about 45 minutes including unpacking. Maybe we're just old and have poor eyesight and that's not a problem for a young perch. First of all, these stools are heavy! We ordered two which were sent in a box. Must be 50 pounds! Poor courier! I love style! They are functional and perfect for our use. We use them as small bedside tables next to two chairs in the living room. Perfect for a cup of coffee, a couple of glasses etc. I wish there was a choice of stain for the seat. I really like the look of this stool. It's beautiful and well made. The problem I have is that the middle part is very thin and it wobbles in the middle. For many, this will not be a problem at all, as it is still very well made and "robust". However, mine is used by a 15 year old child with ADHD who never sits still. I am very impressed with the quality of this product, both in terms of materials and technique. I really expected a lot less for the price. Although advertised as "Do It Yourself - Assembly Required" the components are made of high quality cast iron and steel. Assembly is made easier by having my own tools (as opposed to those provided) and sometimes an extra pair of hands. I am a potter and bought this stool to use with a potter's wheel and to match my craft table. That was great! It's a bit big for a potter's wheel to be honest and 17-18 inches would have been better, but I really wanted it to work for its durability and style. Its lowest height is around 20-21 inches.
