Works well in my NAS

These drives are irreplaceable: buy, install and don't think twice. I have that with my Toshiba drive. I first made sure it's a tested and compatible drive that I can use on my NAS. When it was confirmed I bought it, installed it, configured my NAS accordingly and everything is great. I'm in the early stages of use, maybe over 1000 hours of use since install - not a single problem. I have a second drive in my NAS that lasts many hours and if it starts to fail I will buy another Toshiba drive.

Diamond Rough

This Enterprise model (MG04ACA400N) actually has 128MB of cache instead of 64MB as stated in the product description, underestimating the true performance of this wonderful product. Measured write speeds were around 180MB/s on Win10 and 155MB/s on Win7 for large file transfers, which is fairly close to the (non-NVMe) write performance based on USB3 SSDs, which tends to drop after only ten GB A slight performance discrepancy between Win10 and Win7 is a real plus for those who need to move large…

Works well. - Computers and accessories

As described. Happy with Toshiba drives and switched from WD. Toshiba is now my brand for standard hard drives. Calm. It has a white label instead of a red one, meaning it has been refurbished. The seller gives a 5 year guarantee but time will tell. Use it as external storage for dock backups. Using an SSD/M2 drive in a desktop build. You need to initialize the drive, then format/partition it and you're good to go if you know what you're doing. It comes with instructions if you need it…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Hard to say

Firstly, when you go to the Toshiba warranty page, this model is not even recognized as valid. You will not receive RMA or warranty service. Secondly, do you think after 6 months I still have the static bag and items this item was shipped with? Without it, no return will be accepted. THE PROMISE OF 5 YEAR WARRANTY IS A SCAM. The drive was purchased due to Toshiba's high reliability rating. Big mistake. After 3 months, spontaneous error checks started in Windows 10, which led to the zeroing of…

Great drive for the price

Huge 4TB madness so much storage is so cheap. I had to format it as written in the description, after it's done everything works fine. A little slow, but otherwise I'm having transfer speed issues on my new system, so don't blame the drive. Delivery was ok, less than a week, reasonable packaging of course, but again. Toshiba doesn't get much press, but they've been making hard drives for as long as everyone else and they make decent drives for the money. I would have preferred the WD Black but…

Good investment, runs a bit noisy. Generally good

Installed on a Synology DS 920+ NAS. I've been using these for about 2 weeks now. Here are my observations: 1. Files are copied and read well. Photos and videos are loaded smoothly2. The physical disk looks well put together3. Driving noises have their own character and are clearly audible at night or at very quiet times4. They work great, I've tested them several times on different occasions.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Reliability
