I'm amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

2 disks are installed in RAID1 in NAS, used as storage for family archives of photos, videos, documents, as well as network drives for several computers. Its pros: Compared to past Hitachi drives, these are much cooler (due to the helium filling) and quieter as well. Cons below: So far I have not noticed anything negative, I hope they will live the same long life as the previous disks with an operating time of 10 years (89700 hours).

Everything is fine, there are only minor drawbacks.

I put a couple in the mirror on Synology DS 220+. The declared speed of writing, reading is true. I read reviews about the noise during the operation of the disk, but did not think that to such an extent. Two discs in a pair create a rather strong crack, which significantly spoils the impression of a purchase. It would be cheaper, it would not be so insulting. But, in general, I'm satisfied.

Pros
  • Fast
Cons
  • Noisy, expensive

Great product, a pleasure to use.

Bought for home PC. Personally, I don't know absolutely silent hard drives for 7200 - I looked at the reviews on YouTube - everything +/- is also noisy in this price range (and for fasteners, I think, the same situation). The speed in the photo was measured through the AgeStar 3UBT2 docking station via usb3.0. Special thanks to Lime Store for a working hard drive with 0 operating hours and employees for not crashing it on the way (on a small cardboard box from the seller there is a tinyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Price-adjusted volume, fast, cold, buffer at 512.
Cons
  • 1) I would not call it completely silent when recording: after unpacking, I put it in the docking station half a meter from my ear and while copying two of my old hard drives to it at the same time . there is sound. In the case under the table on the rubber spacers of the sled (due to the design features, the hard on them, by and large, simply lies not tightened with screws - see point 2), I also hear a little from time to time, but I would not call it straining. 2) If you have a sled with a lower mount to the hard, then immediately think about how you will mount it - there are simply no middle holes, the outer ones are for a short bolt (well, 9 pancakes, I understand).

Great in any environment.

These drives are great for storing photos and family movies in my non-raid box. No issues with Windows formatting in GPE, speed or use as a disk server. Nothing even comes close to the reliability, storage and convenience of other fat men. Love it. Eric

Ideal for Synology NAS

I have an older Synology DS3612xs NAS. I think the online documentation stops "preferring" drives larger than 12TB, but 16TB drives work fine. I also have an EXOS 16TB with no problems. Update - MG08 16TB drives run 3-6 degrees cooler than the Seagate ST1600. As prices have fallen to their pre-mining peaks, I will be adding more MG08s to my Synology.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • So-so

Best Value 16TB: Computers and Accessories

Recent purchase of Toshiba MG08 16TB is really impressive: the goods arrived within 3 days as the seller provided Fedex Priority International Shipping . SMART information looks good when 0 is on. hour and number of starts/stops, and it passed multiple disk tests with no issues. In addition, the 5-year warranty is secured by Toshiba's warranty check. Have a good trip and good seller, will definitely buy more.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • sad packaging

Works great in Netgear readynas RND10200.

These are helium filled actuators. Works great when installed; Only time will tell if these discs will hold up. If I have a setback, I'll come back. I installed them on Netgear network storage devices. It takes a few days for the second 16TB drive to sync with the first. So don't worry if something is wrong. Yes, and you only get 14.5 TB of usable space on a drive labeled 16 TB. It is in order.

Pros
  • Fits many

MG08ACA16TE for storage

Be aware that this is a very large drive, I would not recommend using it as a boot drive on systems with a 2TB limit sandy pre-bridge. There will be no bios and you'll take a huge speed hit otherwise it's great for secondary storage, I've got 2 so far. It says it's made by Toshiba but the case cut implies it's made by hgst. Also, since it's filled with platters (9), it doesn't have all the usual mounting screws that a regular 3.5" drive has, so keep that in mind.

  • cool product

Toshiba 16 TB hard drive suitable for computers and accessories

I received it earlier in about 8 days instead of the expected 3-4 weeks. Many Thanks. Good product. When I used Crystal Disk Mark for testing, it showed read and write speeds of 230 to 240 MB/s. That's 6-7 times faster than my 12TB WD Easystore external hard drive. When I tested the transfer speed of a 985MB video file, almost 1GB, with the Fideco Dual Dock, it showed transfer rates from 80 to 117MB/s. it's brilliant Despite being a CMR hard drive, MTBA is rated for 2,500,000 hours. That's 285โ€ฆ

So far, so good! - Datastore

These drives have a pretty good track record with Backblaze (although they still don't have as many samples as some others), so I decided to rate them. I decided to replace my old 6TB WD Blue and 3TB WD Red drives. Lately I've been let down by WD practices (especially the 'head park' feature that can't be turned off anymore, like on my Blue Drive) so I'm about to switch brands now. So far so good - hard drives seem to work fine as long as they don't fail, so hopefully this one will last. Theโ€ฆ
