Toshiba SD 4980 Player HDMI Playback Review

This DVD player is a great buy for the price. I've had it for about 3 years now and the only problem I can report is that it randomly pauses for about 3-5 seconds throughout the movie, usually about once an hour. I bought this player because it was the cheapest upconverted DVD player with HDMI (1.1 output) I could find in a store. It didn't come with an HDMI cable, so I had to buy one (which was actually more expensive than the player). It definitely looks and feels like a very cheap player - very light and feels flimsy. After a year of frustration with a Philips DivX player I found this Toshiba to be a huge improvement.
