For the price you can't beat it.

My wife and I have been using this player for over 3 years with no complaints. It's a no-frills player with an easy-to-use, compact remote control and small footprint. It has a component video output and a digital coaxial audio output that most home theaters require.

Very poor quality DVD player

This player died after only two months. Reading reviews elsewhere I found this to be an all too common experience. After replacing a broken Toshiba player with a slightly more expensive Panasonic (S1) player, I found that the Toshiba's picture quality was also pretty poor. Don't buy this player - you can do better elsewhere.

MUCH VALUE: Gets 1.5 stars

Toshiba is a pretty BAD brand: yes it can work and run for several years but the fridge or bathroom can break, if it persists for multiple times in a game - progressive scan is lousy and getting worse; I have a black stand model (thin/low version). And the R-scan is deteriorating and getting worse. You're better off using a cheap Coby brand (at least it worked fine for 2 or 3 years), at least you know when it's dying, not this slow death. This lousy(!) brand is only for the VERY PATIENT person.
