Good price but you pay a little more at auto parts stores. My main complaint is that the nuts on the U-bolt are too loose. They (made in India) used too much tolerance when cutting threads. I was so concerned about dampening the vibration of the nuts that I used flat washers and lock washers on each nut. . . and even rubbed some high temp silicone on the threads!

So I use these U-bolts for non-standard applications. I installed them in the most sensitive part of the ski tower on my boat. This is done to strengthen it and prevent the bolts from snapping into this weak point. I had issues with the smaller pylons, so I wanted to go all out with this one. Holds up great. I'm not worried about any problems at the moment. There are no issues with rust which means it is high quality stainless steel.

I want to love them. They're shiny stainless steel and would look great on my CJ7 restoration, but they're very soft. They cannot be tightened enough to do what they are designed to do. The threads become irritated and if you find that they are not holding the connection together, you cannot remove them. One side broke to remove the bracket and I had to use a plasma cutter on the other side. They're strictly for show, IMO.

I like the clamp very well made and strong. I wish the seller recommended the size of the bolt as it is metric not SAE. 3/8" nuts/washers will not fit (a little small). So if you need to replace or add nuts, make sure you get the M10 size! I'm assuming all of these clamp sizes are the same bolt diameter. That Company is based in the US but the collar is most likely imported from Asia as it is metric.

Unfortunately the threads on this one were twisted, I didn't see it before trying to install. It is NOT like it was re-stitched by me, after the item failed I noticed a slight bump in the threads which is difficult to see unless you look very, very closely at the threads. Another clamp from the same manufacturer. It's a shame they make a good product, just a failure to properly review their quality control management. ☹

I ordered a new tailpipe for my truck. The clamp that came with it was useless as it had a limit on how tight it could be tightened which kept the outlet tip loose unless I used a washer. I didn't want to do it. I ordered this clip and it worked like clockwork. It has a solid construction and comes with 5/8 nuts that can be tightened very tight. Because of this clamp, the exhaust tip does not sit properly on the exhaust pipe!

Use without silencer. The specified size is too big. 2" U-bolt purchased. Actual ID 2-5/16". Pretty sloppy fit on 2" OD tubes. Seat is a different size than a U-bolt. Seat ID was about 2-1/8" on some and 2-3/16" on the other two. The Edges of the saddle weren't aligned. In most cases these incorrect measurements don't matter. In my case I'll get this to work, but it definitely doesn't fit as expected. I bought the stainless steel for the "looks." what I have.

The clamp set is initially delivered without lock washers. I have no idea what could keep it securely tightened over time other than hopes and dreams. Second, the thread and nut combination is so loose that the nut shifts almost an eighth of an inch from left to right. Put on the clamp with minimal tightening force so as not to damage the threads. This was supposed to be a permanent install, but for now it's a stopgap at best. I hope this lasts long enough for me to get to the auto shop and buy
