    Bought for my mother as a gift. She hung it on the wall as decoration. To be honest I think it's a shame to use it as a cutting board. The wood is really hard and smooth. It's perfect for those who call California home or just love the state itself.

    I'm from California and my husband is from Kansas. I ordered both government plaques for our house. This is ideal for presenting cheese and meat, fruit or vegetables. I once tried using it as a cutting board but noticed cut marks on the board. I mainly use it as a serving board and it's fun to display at a dinner or meeting. I wash by hand. Not recommended for dishwashers.

    Nice souvenir for a family from California

    A gift for in-laws in the Midwest to remind them we miss and love them. Personally, I use a small TONS cutting board for easy cutting and cooking. It's much easier to get, clean and put away. You can hang it on the wall, but it is also fully functional as a cutting board if you wish.
