🚗 CADILLAC ATS CTS SRX XTS CUE Touch Screen Display Replacement 2013-2017 Review

Unfortunately after the installation it stopped responding. Unplugged again, all looked fine, but tried plugging the ribbon cable back in just to make sure it was in, reinstalled, and the screen was still unresponsive. This is my third time having the chained gong screens all on different Cadillacs but this is the first time a new screen has become unresponsive after installation.

Looks good, fits perfectly with the alignment lugs and feels solid. But after the installation, the touchscreen didn't respond at all. Disassembled the CUE again to look at the ribbon cable connections and everything was in place as it should be. So I think it was a bad block. Aside from being defective, it appeared to be a good replacement for the factory unit.

My CTS had phantom clicks on my screen like an invisible hand was constantly clicking on random menus. My stereo switched modes, my air conditioner changed on its own. It was very annoying. After a complicated operation I put this replacement encoder in and everything was back to normal! Works two years after installation! I was able to replace the encoder as an extremely handy person, but I wouldn't recommend this as a DIY project for someone with no electronics experience.

It was easy to install once you know how to use the Lego Technic sets. About the same level of difficulty. I was able to install and test it within an hour and a half of receiving it. However, he has several problems. The color of the black frame is different from the color of the rest of the device, it is slightly different and the chrome finish is different. I was a bit worried because I couldn't find any video help for my model/can't search for cue distance. In mine you don't remove the dash, but you do have to take everything out in the console to slide the ashtray far enough to remove the two side panels. Although it took me a little longer to figure out how to extract the hint, with online videos the screen change was pretty easy and the screen works fine. This is a great price that has completely fixed the problem the dealer was asking over a thousand dollars to fix. The product corresponds to the description and was sent promptly. Now that all is said, the installation is a bit tricky. There are many videos online to help you with this, but this is NOT a 10 minute task.
