Really cool device - computers and tablets

Where to start? Spring. This thing checks multiple bucket list items. It's a decent Android tablet for Android games and quite capable of playing emulated games too. It can play with much better stability/graphics capabilities than Raspberry Pi 3b+. This is not a comparison. it said. It's still not powerful enough to play Gamecube/Dreamcast stably. Some games can be played decently (if you think 15fps is decent, it seems responsive but slow). this is a BEAST for psp/ps1/game boy…

Not cheap but great value considering what you get

Legal and ethical conversations are not compromised, this is a great device. However, my device had an issue with the screen stuttering in the center and the GPD logo burning out where it was barely visible. This happened 2 months after receiving the device and outside of the return window. So I had to contact the seller directly and they helped me. I had to pay the shipping cost to send the broken unit back to them (but they promised to send a replacement and a case for my problems, I only got

what they don't tell you

Before I start my complaints, let me tell you about the pros (which there are few). Buttons and joysticks feel good (except for the a button, more on that later) - emulators work well. I also wanted to mention that this is NOT a new product, this listing is a scam. The one I received had scuffs on the screen (pictured above), not only that, but when I booted up the device I didn't hit the typical Android setup wizard. Instead, it was also already set up on the home screen. It is also worth…

Amazing upgrade from the original

This 2019 upgrade is simply the best. After following the instructions on YouTube to flash a device with an UI, it runs so fast compared to the simple UI. It can play all the old games I love and can be used as a tablet with Google Play as a showcase. That's the price of pretty much everything he can do. If you are looking for a nostalgic car, there is no better system than this.

Still, it turned out to be a pretty good product

Not for the faint of heart. Combine the Android operating system with a tricky emulation and this is only for amateurs. This turned out to be a pretty good product. As a result, I've switched to third-party emulators, although the stock emulators work fine. As others have said, the sticky button issue seems to go away over time. I would recommend using the ARC browser launcher. It seemed the cleanest and most intuitive to me. I don't know why the Happy Chick app got so many bad reviews (yes I…

My favorite retro handheld gaming device

Great device for playing retro games. The whole Gameboy family plays very well together with nes, Snes, N64 and PS1. I bought my own emulators and UI from the google play store, the default UI and emus aren't great. The system itself compares very well to my 3ds, better than I expected. The joysticks are better than the 3ds and the dpad is on par with the 3ds and not at all terrible as I read during my pre-purchase research. Very comfortable for long gaming sessions, pretty much identical in…

Extremely outdated Android 7.0

Isn't that thing powerful enough to even run its own emulators? The PPSSPP app is so slow and everything is buggy. doesn't work at all. I don't like that it is made with Android 7.0. For $200 you should get the best processors for a portable device. There aren't many games, but I know how to download them, so it's not a problem. I'm sending it back asap because it just isn't for me.
