The ring in the picture is not the same as received. The ring I received is rectangular and the lunge clip doesn't attach smoothly so it doesn't work properly.

I specifically ordered this product because I need a low profile center ring. Instead I got a big square pivot in the middle. I have not specifically ordered a product that represents this lamp. I also chose this strap because I liked the small external handle on the clasp. The one I have has a different rig that will not be easy to handle. This company needs to change their image to fit their product or they will end up with more frustrated customers like me. I will happily change my review if

When I received the lunging belt, it made a solid impression. The straps are very thick. The look made me happy. When first used, my horse was galloping and the buckle on the lunge belt that connects the lunge line came loose from the harness. Luckily my horse was in a closed arena. I was very surprised that it broke so easily.

The only thing to note is that the center "ring" where the lunge line is hooked is square. It is quite difficult to insert a large cable hook. So for the time being I attached another "hook" to it with a round ring. I should have checked the picture before ordering.

The harness I received did not have the pivot pictured (rounded below). The one I received had flat, sharp bottoms. In addition, the latches look inwards. It's too big that they catch on the horse's lip (to be honest I didn't realize that before buying it. In fact, the fittings are cheap, chrome plated). rusts quickly i was hoping for stainless steel 2 stars for good seams and decent nylon.

The belt is strong and must withstand the load. Unless you are a very careful trainer with a predictable horse, the strap should never be attached to snaffles. This is a good way to ruin a soft mouth. Luckily the strap was attached to the handle of my bridle and together with the cooperating horse the lunge succeeded, allowing me to control the mare with the side reins.
