Description of 🍽️ SunGrow Transparent Glass Shrimp Food Dish, 2.5 Inches Wide & 0.5 Inch Deep - Ideal Basin for Feeding Shrimp

✔ SAVE MONEY ON EXPENSIVE SHRIMP FOOD --- To keep your pet shrimp at optimum health and happiness, it is crucial to feed them nutritious, high-quality food. The practical SunGrow Glass Feeding Dish helps to prevent additional food costs due to spillage by securely containing pellets, flakes, worms and more. When food is placed in this convenient glass basin, it stays there instead of falling into the rocks and soil then getting swept away during maintenance. ✔ KEEP SHRIMPS’ HABITAT TIDY! --- Many things, such as overfeeding and food debris can be the cause of uninvited guests in your tank. The Shrimp Feed Dish by SunGrow keeps food inside the basin instead of outside, floating freely in the water and eventually settling in the bottom of your tank. Consequently, there is a far less chance of planaria blooming. Spend less time on cleaning and more time enjoying with your playful aquatic pets. ✔ SIMPLE TO CLEAN AND SANITIZE --- The smooth, glass material used to make the SunGrow Shrimp Feeding Dish is low-maintenance, easy to wash and able to handle high temperatures. For regular cleaning, simply remove any leftover food and give it a quick rinse with soap and water. If you would like to sanitize the feed dish occasionally, it can easily be steam sterilized. ✔ THE FOOD DISH THAT’S DURABLE --- Long lasting and reliable, the SunGrow Shrimp Feed Dish is confidently made with heavy-duty borosilicate glass. This high-quality glass is widely used in cookware, windows and laboratory instruments because it can handle extreme temperatures and has a greater resistance to corrosion. Some competitors use less durable acrylic plastic to construct their feeding dishes. ✔ BLENDS PERFECTLY INTO THE BACKGROUND --- The perfectly sized 2.5” (6cm) wide, 0.5” (1.5cm) deep takes on the appearance of its background and blends beautifully into the environment without any disturbance or distraction to the aquarium aesthetics. This convenient transparency allows you to easily see how much food is left in the dish and if you need to fill it up or buy more food before leaving for vacation. Always be prepared and never run out of food with the practical Glass Feeding Dish.

Light and small, it can be easily placed in the aquarium with pliers.

This is an easy dish, so I'm not overly concerned about crushing baby shrimp when I put it in (but I do make sure there aren't any baby shrimp where I put it). One tip I found is that you can use a plastic straw as a chute for the pellets to keep them centered on the plate.

Cons
  • Functionality

The bowl is a little deep

The product arrived in nice packaging and in good condition. The product appears to be of decent quality as it is seamless. While I didn't expect the lip to be that high, my shrimp don't really like climbing in to feed. If you have a deep enough substrate and no plants, you can certainly dig it in a bit to make it easier.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Possibility of renewal

Perfect small jar for shrimp aquarium

I initially tried to forego a small plastic jar but it was too light, too deep and I was afraid the plastic would get into the aquarium. probably about 2.5 inches wide. It's deep enough to keep food in if my habrosus kori decides to play in it (photo here).

Small, cheap and expensive!

Honestly I wouldn't sell this bowl unless it was in LFS for 0.99 cents. It's tiny and made out of the cheapest glass (weak plastic consistency). You have to understand how small it is. Now I wish I had bought a different type of bowl. It's probably 10 cents to make and maybe a little more to buy wholesale. #taken away

Helps avoid clutter so I can easily download it again later.

Because of their size, you'd think shrimp don't eat dirty, but they definitely do. or at least mine. Due to her voracious eating habits, I decided to buy a glass petri dish to help stem the mess. While some pieces will still come out, most of them are now concentrated in one place that I can easily vacuum up. impressed by the high quality packaging. Overall I am happy with the purchase as it was cheap and effective for its purpose.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model

Bought it by accident but love it. Save

I actually bought this by mistake. I didn't know it was in the car when I replaced my husband's flashlight. I've been looking for things for shrimp to hide in. I had no idea what it was when it showed up. I didn't want to pay that much for this item. so i decided not to buy it. When I realized what it was, I was like shit. I was about to return it but noticed the huge mess my shrimp had made and decided to give it a try. Actually very nice. Keeps the chaos in one area. Easy to suck. It's not…
