👜 Tough 1 Nylon Bag for Horn Review

After the first day of trail riding (8 hours, no rubbing on horse or saddle) my corners are frayed and some seams have come undone. Very disappointed as I am a big fan of the brand. They just couldn't stand wearing them for a day. If it was an entire trail season, multiple rides over a period of time (with a wash in between to get rid of sweat and dirt buildup) I'd understand, but this is a photo from the first night of return.

This bag is great as long as it lasts and I've had two of these bags already hoping the second one would last longer. But after a few months the stitching starts to unravel and huge holes appear in the saddlebag. Also, the material is lined with plastic on the inside, which starts tearing very quickly, making the material very thin, and then you end up with even more holes in the middle of the bag. I have had other nylon bags that are much thicker and stronger and I will buy one of these next…

I deducted 3 stars in this review because I outright lied. This bag is not fully insulated. The label even states that it has two 8" x 8" x 3" deep insulated pockets, when in fact only two small front pockets are insulated. It even says it's fully insulated to keep drinks and snacks cold. fits every drink except maybe the juice box in the front pockets, so that's a total lie. Still, I don't need insulation, plus it's the perfect size for what I need and looks well made.

Perfect size and pockets for what I wanted: phone, keys, hand cleaner, diner, riding gloves, hooves, general tools: common gear for trail riding! A ranch friend received the same product the same week and loves it too. Haven't had it too long but my only complaint is that one of the rear pieces that are meant to attach to my saddle just fell apart. I don't know how, there was no pressure on it other than trot and run but yesterday I found it torn and nearly lost my clip <sigh>. I'll fix…

Have been using this horn bag for a few weeks now. Love the size and overall design and the bright blue color is easy to spot. It has 4 bottles of water or smaller bottles of Gatorade, a snack for me and a snack for my stallion, my phone, keys and a small first aid kit.
