Bought a hail damaged 2007 Corolla CE for my niece. The gear oil was black and didn't smell very good. It had 97,000 miles when I bought it. Did a 2x3 drain/fill procedure (drained 2 liters, refilled 2 liters, ran in all gears, repeated 3 times) and now their gear oil is a nice red color. Obviously it hasn't washed everything away as things like the torque converter and fluid passages will retain some, but it will keep this little car on the road for at least another 100,000 miles. I bought these 6 drain and fill fluid bags for my 2007 Corolla. Almost 3 liters of liquid came out when draining, which was less than I expected.
