I changed the oil in my 2010 Tundra myself until I sold the 2020 truck so I ordered many of these filters and none had a defect. Once you get to the oil cartridge area of your engine, installing this filter is easy. The hardest part is getting to the part of the engine with the filter.

This is a genuine Toyota filter and is exactly as described. I've used the Fram variety in the past and they seem to be the best. I don't know if the filter works better, but the overall assembly (including the o-rings and drain part) is much better.

Exactly as advertised, genuine Toyota sealed in the box. For those saying the press fit drain plug doesn't work properly and needs to be held down. It works, but you have to push hard on it. He will take his place. It also acts as a gasket extractor for the smaller gasket that sits in the drain hole, eliminating the need for a pick.

This was the first time I had to change the oil in my new 2011 Tundra with a big V-8 engine. I wish they used a standard can-style oil filter, but that's another story. I bought it and it had everything needed to change the oil filter with the only possible exception being the oil drain plug washer.
