Description of TPI 310C Calibrated Thermometer Penetration: Accurate Temperature Measurement with Precision

Digital thermometer for monitoring temperature in food service, electrical testing, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning applications. Measures temperature from -50 to 150 degrees C (-58 to 300 degrees F) with an accuracy of + or - 1 degree C (2 degrees F). Thermometer can be calibrated in an ice bath to preserve the accuracy of readings. LCD screen shows the current temperature and can be turned at up to a 180 degree angle for viewing measurements in hard-to-reach areas. Stem-style probe is 5" long and has a penetration tip for taking measurements while immersed in liquid or air.

Not Accurate Enough for Industrial Use

As a representative for an Industrial & Scientific company, I tested this thermometer and it failed to perform accurately. As a result of my tests, I determined that this product is not reliable for professional use. The inexpensive price may be attractive for personal use but it is not appropriate for scientific or industrial purposes.

Excellent accurate thermometer

very accurate. I calibrated in an ice bath and it held the calibration from freezing to boiling with very good accuracy. Would buy again .

Very nice item, easy to calibrate

Very good Article , easy to calibrate . I tested it on another known accurate thermometer and it is accurate. The only complaint is that it was a bit difficult to read in the application I was using it for. Tried flipping the screen, didn't help. But a very good thing and I plan to use it for a very long time.
