The closest thing I could find to a Trackman is

. medium size that is wireless, wired and bluetooth. Deft Pro is written directly under the ball. I've had a Logitech Trackman for at least 15 years now and the left click button has finally died. It's a real tragedy that they discontinued this model and didn't replace it with something like it. This model from Elecom seemed to me to be the best replacement for the Trackman, and it's not bad. All packaging is in Japanese. The instructions are also entirely in Japanese. You have to google to…

Pros
  • . Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • . Not as good as it says.

Ball motion sucks, ergonomics are great, so many buttons

Ball motion is especially sticky when moving at certain angles. I think they made a serious design mistake by placing small support balls. They don't land the ball on a plane parallel to the table surface. This allows the ball to detach from the supports when kicked from the side. The support spheres are also too close to the center (equator, if you will) of the sphere. I think they would do better if they were a little closer to the South Pole and supported the ball from below. The ball seems…

Worst stiction ever.

Composition: n.; Static friction that must be overcome to allow relative motion of stationary contact objects. In this case we are talking about how much force it takes to literally get the ball rolling. This mouse is the best index finger trackball in a shrinking market. currently. Which is a blatant indictment of people's understanding of ergonomics and the HID market in general. For its part, Elecom has created a trackball that can do literally anything; but that makes the main attraction…

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • The cable is shorter than others

Worst Trackball Ever

UPDATE: I gave this mouse to the man who killed my dad and we're even now. I bought a basic Amazon trackball to replace that piece of junk! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08H82JJ2T?ref=ppx_pt2_dt_b_prod_image I've had a lot of trackballs in my life and this is by far the worst. The biggest problem isn't even repeatability. Sometimes you can barely move the ball and the mouse shoots three screens, and other times you can twist and turn the damn thing to move an inch if at all. At first I…

I'm a big fan of trackballs. I have used trackballs from Microsoft, Logitech and Kensington, but for the controller I have chosen Elecom finger control trackballs. I have Elecom Deft at home and Elecom HUGE at work. I recently got the Deft Pro to replace the smaller Deft at home because I found it to be a good combination of the Deft hand position and the added control of the larger ball like in the HUGE. Unfortunately the Deft Pro doesn't suit me and I will most likely stick with the smaller…
