Nicely made, tracking works well, very easy to use!

This tracking device really surprised me! First, it's pretty well made and very easy to set up and use. No apps are required and my phone (Note 9) holds up with no issues. I had to take it out of its case but depending on the size you might not need it. The motion tracking really surprised me. It works very well and was able to track me without any problems. I love that this motion tracker uses standard camera tripod mounts, so I can use it with an action camera or a small mirrorless camera in addition to using it on my smartphone. Unfortunately, this thing didn't have batteries and I had to keep it plugged into a USB power source to keep it working. The tripod and phone mount are fine, but there's no internal battery and the tracking doesn't work properly.

On the plus side, I like the tripod and phone holder. Both jaws open to slip the phone into the case with ease, even in a case as sturdy as the one I have. In addition, it allows you to tilt up and down. However, there are two major disadvantages. First, it must be connected to something in order to receive power. It doesn't have a battery that you charge. They advertise it as a feature and a plus, but that's utter nonsense. To use this you need to be near a power source, which severely limits…

Why this tracking unit.? That's what I was wondering when I gave it 3 stars.

My comments are more about understanding, as you will see in my video, that the Arioky Selfie Trek Stick is not a gimbal. I know. The provider never advertised it as such. But one can hope. And I felt like I had to see if this motion-restricting device would do. Well it isn't. Arioky works on a flat surface; Rotation from left to right and vice versa. I'm guessing it's meant to be that you're using this up close, vlogging or something. As you will hear in my video I will explain in more detail…
