The perfect little jar of Szechuan Marinade for yourself.

I had bought a similar one in China. But I still need a new one because I'm making a new can of Szechuan cucumber for my friend right now, so this product caught my attention from the start. It really looks the same as the one I bought from China. The only difference might be that the glass color of this glass doesn't look as crystal clear as the one I bought from China.

the bottom part falls off after the second use

Very cute traditional Chinese pickle jar! I was lucky enough to receive this jar with no cosmetic damage and I really liked it. However, the neck of this glass is smaller than I expected. I have pretty small hands for Asians but I couldn't put my hand inside so you have to use a long handled sponge to clean the inside and you also have to use chopsticks or thin tongs to get the pickles. Also, the bottom part suddenly fell off after only the 2nd use, even I was very careful with this beautiful…

Came in a month, broke in a week, ruined my carabiner

Arrived late, more than a month. When I used it for the first time I found some liquid under the glass, I thought it was water with which I closed the lid pushed out by air bubbles. So I add some napkins to protect my carbine and keep an eye on it. After a week, half of the liquid in the glass was gone. And I noticed that a finger-length crack had formed in the glass. Now my rifle is completely ruined and I have to throw it all away. Half a day's work, expensive ingredients and a glass - all…

Good solid product: Fermentation & More

After thinking about making my own sauerkraut for so many years I got this jar. Arrived well packaged with no problems. A previous review said it's very thin and breaks easily. I thought it was well made and not flimsy (it can break like any glass if you're not careful). As I cook my first sauerkraut now and in a week, I see air bubbles rising in and out of the rimmed water. The colors of vegetables remain without strange changes. Hope they come out perfect. On the other hand, it may take…

Craftsmanship and elegance are a reliable topic of conversation.

This is a handcrafted glass version of an antique elegant design, a beautiful, practical fermenter which, as the vegetables and process can be observed live, is actually a conversation piece. Although I haven't run it many, many batches yet, its performance has been solid so far. I find the size to be pretty reasonable, a bit too big for me (half a gallon of pickled stuff lasts well over a month, and, well, I like to release batches every few weeks, just for fun and a change). On the other…
