They're more like underwear with a little extra padding. I was expecting them to absorb more liquid (for the night) but they hold about as much as regular underwear.

My son had his first nighttime accident last night while wearing a pair of these shorts. There was more urine on his sheets and legs than on his underpants. Instead of sucking up the urine, it bounced off and dripped down his legs. I do not recommend.

Unfortunately, they do not absorb urine. Not sure why the reviews say they are great for potty training, my son urinated and looked like he was wearing regular underpants. Damn. Wouldn't recommend it.

So underwear is not suitable unless you force them to give way and rip a few stitches. In theory, this is great for keeping urine in place. This is not good for a stubborn toddler walking around. My boyfriend is 3.5 years old and 99% sensitive to everything and he has my huge hips. If you have this problem with regular clothing, you might want to consider another route.

A complete game changer! After the changeover, my baby was dry all the time. Even in the two accidents he had while carrying it, the mattress was spared. Also, not a single fight forced him to wear them. They are soft and fit just like underwear - no bulk or bulge. They shrunk a bit in the dryer so I might go up a size to compensate.

We really liked these underwear for potty training our boy. He was 20 months old when we started and it took about three months! This underwear was cute and fun and helped him not to have to go to the bathroom in it.

This product is not waterproof. Rather thick fabric. My son had two nights in these underwear without incident, but unfortunately he peed on the third night and it dripped all over the mattress and sheets. Even with a thin, waterproof sheet on the bed, urine leaked onto the mattress. We do not recommend this underwear for potty training.

They don't keep adequate full urine circulation in 1. An accident but well made, not suitable for use with already potty trained children, not for full potty training.

I have mixed feelings about these shorts. When they arrived in the mail my first thought was "oh no, these are going to be cheap", the packaging and at first glance they don't seem worth the price. As soon as we put them on my nearly three year old they sit very high and almost cover my belly button. They're more like underwear. Love the design and material. Would you like the tags not to be outside or somewhere else?

I chose these diapers because they are large and have enough layers to prevent leakage. Four of them have beautiful patterns that look like dinosaurs and excavators.
