Enhance Performance with Trans-Dapt 1120 Single Filter Relocation Kit: A Comprehensive Review Review

The kit worked great on my 2003 Chevrolet Suburban 4x4 Z71. I bought a new aluminum radiator that came with a transmission oil cooler and an engine oil cooler. The kit worked great.

Great for my truck. The stock hoses run over the skid plate, and the filter assembly is held in place with 1/4-20 screws that I drilled and installed into the driver's side frame just behind the front bumper. I just have to be careful not to park or drive over very high curbs. No more oil on the vehicle frame during the oil change. Yes.

It works perfectly except the lines supplied really need to be longer if you want to install the filter in a suitable location. I use it with an oil cooler and was only able to use one line from the filter mount to the cooler. I couldn't find a place to mount the filter block close enough to the engine filter socket to allow the use of a different hose.

only installed last night so this review is purely on the installation and quality of the product. Pros: I was able to move the oil filter forward to the engine through the air. Filters on my GMC Messenger. The hoses supplied are long enough for this. The block adapter is perfect for my SUV. Cons: Hoses bend easily. If you have to rotate 90 degrees to mount the filter higher in the engine bay, you'll have to play with the hoses to find the right balance of coil length and tightness. In my case…
