Light and lightning-fast

Two small drawbacks: You can't use both slots at the same time and I would like to do without the plastic cover if it were possible. fast, fairly small, well built and inexpensive. I was now able to use it on PCs, Macs, and various Linux systems, as well as media from multiple manufacturers. All without problems and with stable performance. Mine is white and I find the little blue LED very noticeable and since it flickers when I/O is actively running it's very useful on headless systems whereโ€ฆ

I use SD card for Raspberry Pis

This is my second one. My first one must have lasted a few years. The design has changed a bit over the years, but it's still the same basic element. I have to flash the operating system for Raspberry Pis to SD cards quite often. If you've ever done this, you know card readers are pretty lucky as they can flash it and then read the boot partition. Some can and some can't. This card reader can at any time. Not only that, I've been able to do this successfully over 100 times in the last year if I

Good speed with USB 3. Great card for the price.

Transcend's card reader works as advertised when using a USB 3 connection. Faster write speeds SD cards give the best results. With older maps, however, the loading time may be slightly shorter. In addition, when downloading to a hard drive, Transcend's SSD will match and even exceed the maximum download speeds of SD cards. WARNING. Transcend's memory card reader gets noticeably hot/hot when transferring large amounts of data (12+ GB). It is not a fire hazard but is noticeable when notโ€ฆ

Reads fast but poor cap design

First, I need to clarify why I'm only giving four stars and not five: The cap that covers the USB port doesn't fit the back of the device. This annoys me because the cap inevitably disappears leaving the USB end permanently open even when in storage. Otherwise this device is just great. I bought it to transfer data to and from micro SDXC cards via USB 3.0 and it does it amazingly and fast. I moved 16GB from a 32GB card in just a few minutes (literally a few minutes, no more than twenty) on myโ€ฆ

Disappointed at first, now just annoyed

I purchased this unit on July 5th, 2018. my system! I tried different ways and even updated the firmware from Transcend website but nothing works. As if he didn't exist. Unfortunately, Revain's return window is already closed, otherwise it will be returned as soon as possible. - - - - - -Update for anyone who might help! My system is running Windows 7 Ultimate x64. I have half a dozen SD cards that I have used before and they have all been in good condition. Before I threw this card reader inโ€ฆ
