Kudos to Transcend - Computers & Accessories

Original title: Don't last last Original post: Died shortly after I bought this. Maybe I just have a malfunction, but this is very disappointing. I just checked all the connections again and now the device is working fine. I can't say for sure if this is an intermittent issue or if I just had a weak connection and didn't notice it when the device initially dropped. I'll keep an eye on it, I'll update again in the future in terms of reliability. I would like to thank Transcend for contacting meโ€ฆ

Only works about 3 times.

This card reader works fine a few times and then fails. I bought a Transend USB 3 RDF8 about a year ago. I figured the built in reader in my computer wouldn't last long as it's over 5 years old with an older USB 2. My computer card reader was just starting to go haywire, so I pulled out the transend and plugged it in. Even plugged into USB 2 on my computer, this reader worked great. while it worked. This only worked 3 times when uploading photos from SD card. Since it didn't work for a veryโ€ฆ

Great reader, wish it had a longer cord.

I bought this card reader to replace an Anker USB 3.0 card reader. I'm pretty sure that the Anker card reader actually damaged the SanDisk SD card's casing so badly that my camera couldn't register the card. To be safe, I just replaced it with this Transcend device. It works great. I only used the full size SD and microSD card slots. The transfer speed seems good enough. Cards are easy to insert and remove. A blue LED inside the case will light up to indicate it has power and is ready toโ€ฆ

WARNING: My SD cards are corrupted

Let me first say that I am a wedding photographer. What's on those SD cards is literally my livelihood. This is the second Transcend 3.0 multi card reader I have purchased. The first one stopped working after a while and I thought it would be good as long as it lasts so I bought the second one which I think was my first mistake. I came home from a wedding yesterday and inserted my second shooter's SD cards into a Transcend device. It started reading the first 20 or so images but wouldn't loadโ€ฆ
