Here is the cable connector.

Yes it is USB3, yes the cable is included. What they never say or show is that it is a USB 3.0 micro cable. If you need a reader with an 18-inch cable, that's fine. If you need to route it from the back of the computer to the front, most likely it is NOT enough and you need to add USB3.0. Extension cord or buy a longer (or shorter) one. • An absolute legend
Cons
  • There are nuances

I had 64 gigabytes of photos and videos in .

I bought this to have faster access to SD and microSD card files from my Sony RX100V and DJI Mavic. I had 64GB of photos and videos on the RX100V's SD card and it was the first card I tried with this reader. It worked great with my camera, the moment I inserted the card into this reader the card became DAMAGED! LOST 6 HOURS trying to recover all the photos I had. Everything works fine now, but what a pain it was. For this reason, I cannot recommend this reader to anyone.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Fits

Don't expect this thing to last long

I've used it several times, maybe once a month. However, this only lasts a few years. Aside from the cheap plastic casing that you would expect from any other cheap Chinese-made electronic device, the internal components are not meant to be used for more than a few years. I was right about that. when my Transcend reader started disconnecting from me and now it's practically unusable. Try to transfer anything from any card, transcending dies. Luckily I have several other readers and they workโ€ฆ

Pros

Best praise Transcend in memory card accessories

Original title: Didn't last long Original message: Died shortly after purchase. Maybe I just have a malfunction, but this is very disappointing. I just checked all the connections again and now the device is working fine. I can't say for sure if this is an intermittent issue or if I just had a weak connection and didn't notice it when the device initially dropped. I'll keep an eye on it, I'll update again in the future in terms of reliability. I would like to thank Transcend for contacting meโ€ฆ

Worked well but failed after 3 years of EASY use

This unit worked well from 2016 to 2019 to transfer mirror images and then 4K videos from SD cards. It has been used little, maximum 1-2 times a month, MAXIMUM less than 100 times during the period of use. Then Windows stopped recognizing SD and MicroSD cards. Insert the card, the indicator flashes but does not appear in explorer. No obvious signs of internal damage, nothing happening. Maybe my expectations are too high, but Transcend has been around for a while, and yet I have a cheapโ€ฆ

The best card reader of the four I've had.

The best card reader I've ever owned. I use it every day for about half a year. I haven't used it for anything other than regular sized SD cards. I have a camera with a compact flash and it fits this size, but I rarely use this camera. It's smaller than I expected, but that's not a problem. The included USB 3 cable is too short, I had to buy a longer one which added $8 to the price of this thing. But a great reader. Fast, error-free and easy to insert cards 1/29/2018: I've just come back toโ€ฆ

Pros

  • Waiting too long

That's great! Buy now!

There isn't much to see with this Transcend USB 3.0 card reader. Revane says 4 stars is what I love about it and that's what I rate - love it! You don't really need one of those fancy readers for $20 or more, it's enough and it works with almost everything - SC[H,X]C, microSD[HC, XC], memory card and compact flash. I bought it to read the pictures I take with my Nikon D5100. The D5100's internal reader tends to drain batteries. Pros: It's cheap, it's tiny, it comes with a USB 3.0 cable, youโ€ฆ
