Didn't work but they happily let me return it

I thought this SSD would fit in my 2014 Macbook Pro but when I put it in my machine it wouldn't read. Took it to Apple and they couldn't get it to work either. I sent it back and got a full refund very quickly. I can't say exactly what the problem is; Maybe there was a bad SSD, maybe it was incompatible or there could be another problem in my laptop. Anyhow, I appreciate the easy returns and the fact that there is no restocking fee. While this didn't solve my problem, I still give it 5 stars.

  • A dream come true

Macbook Pro 2015 version.

La instalación es muy difícil y Transcend no ofrece Solutions ni información. A JetDrive 850 SSD was installed on a MacBook Pro Retina in early 2015 without confirmation. Use the Jetdrive 850 to restore and format the Guid.Finalmente…

SSD Not Detected in Macbook Pro Disk Utility

I just bought a new Mac 850 Jet Drive as the previous SSD I was using was damaged. Apple Genius determined that the problem is with the SSD. I removed my old SSD and replaced it with a new one. The problem is that Disk Utility doesn't see the drive as connected. I tried twice, is it the same because it's not formatted? When it comes to formatting, what tools are needed? Or is the problem different? Please guide me!

Pros

  • Expensive Insurance

I just bought a new Jet Drive 850 for Mac because the previously used SSD was damaged. Apple Genius determined that the problem is with the SSD. I removed my old SSD and replaced it with a new one. Or is the problem different? Please guide me!

Serious problems in just one year

I bought a 480GB drive and installed it about a year ago after buying a MacBook Air when my previous computer died. I needed more disk space than the laptop had and they had good reviews so I gritted my teeth and bought one. It worked reasonably well, albeit a bit slower than the original HD, until recently my computer started shutting down once or twice (sometimes more often) a day and going to a Mac screen with a folder with a blinking question mark showing that was not the case The boot disk

Version 850 960GB: Computer and accessories

I bought this in mid 2014 for my Macbook Pro (Mac OS Mojave). However, in macOS recovery mode, this SSD could not be recognized. So a Time Machine backup won't help much. Don't install 850 SSD yet for it to work. First, use Carbon Clone Copy to create a bootable backup (clone) of your original SSD to an external hard drive (its backup is bootable). You can then replace the 850 SSD for your Macbook. After installing the new 850 SSD, boot your Macbook from the external hard drive (the clone is…
