The first time I pierced a small punch (a 5 x 1/2 inch piece of wood) this panel shattered like a broken windshield. This acrylic is cheap so I ran this matrix 11 times and you can see the result. The whole record is broken. Thank goodness I didn't remove the protective cover or my car would have been damaged. Please do not purchase this item or purchase from this seller. Return with full refund.

Cracks started on the first pass through the punch I could use at least one or two out of eight, two or three passes. Each, eight of the eight I bought, broke into pieces after a use or two. When you opened these items you could see that they had a defect, they had a small crack inside the acrylic that didn't look broken but you could see that there was something wrong with all eight.

I NEEDED TO REPLACE VERY USED OLD CUTTING PLATES FOR MY SIZZIX BIG SHOT. This was a big disappointment as only the first one I used lasted. ALL OTHER 3 CAREERS AFTER LESS THAN 10 STARTS AFTER THE ONE! I AM EXPIRED BECAUSE THE RETURN WINDOW IS CLOSED AT THE TIME OF THE EVENT. I DID NOT EVEN REMOVE THE PLASTIC FILM FROM THE LAST ONE. USE THIS ON A SMALL CUBE 1"X 3" AND IT'S CRACKED IN 4 PLACES.

Two plates cracked on first use when punching. One panel is broken in half and the other is held in place by thin foil on either side. These plates are advertised as strong and durable for stamping, but they are not. The matrices break the thin film and also cause cracks. I've been using the Big Shot vinyl cutter and embosser for 17 years and have never had a Stampin Up or Cuttlebug record crack or break. It's worth spending a little more to get a durable product.
