This switch is intended for those who understand or want to know the difference between two wires going to a polarized plug. The wire leading to an open is usually one with a seal leading to a hot or live contact. It's tight but my arms are clumsy so you can handle it. Strip the wires, twist them and insert them into the interlock switch terminals. For those who have used other switches, do not remove the hot lead wire segment as some other switches require.

The switch worked as a replacement for the IKEA floor lamp. There are no instructions in the package and this may cause problems for some people. I had to destroy the IKEA switch to free two wires that were being held in the IKEA switch. Once removed, it was easy to insert the wires into the new switch.
