Good business. the best science kits and toys

I got this cheap (1/4 price) and it was worth it. But I don't know if I would have paid the full price. In such a case, I prefer to build a habitat out of scrap wood or popsicle sticks and gauze. In any case, I breed moon moths, and this habitat is just right for such a purpose. The attached photos show 2 adults ready to be transported. They have since died (natural causes due to their short lifespan) and now I am taking care of the offspring (which are now approaching the pupation stage). It…

Brilliant. Love it! in science kits and toys

Just received today and I LOVE it! I'm new to caterpillar breeding and needed something to protect the TON of black swallowtails I found on my parsley (a ton, as in 45 cats and about 30 eggs!). First, I cut off any parsley that had cats or eggs on it and placed them in a vase of water. However, I have read that sometimes they can fall into the water and drown. and I didn't like the idea of putting all the cats in dish bins and constantly changing the old food. So I visited my florist and took 4

Highly recommended - but MILKPLANT!

First I bought two to protect the fur from moths and the pet hair of my artificial brushes (stored in a large brush holder). I bought three small spurges to put in the courtyard for passing monarchs. just to find caterpillars covered in 🐛! So I impressed the two I had and ended up buying two more to keep all the cats as they grow and add new ones at different rates. (They are little cannibals) I highly recommend having a few! The enjoyment and learning experience was so much fun! In your…

Ideal for those who love observing the world of insects.

When I was pruning my milkweed plants last month (February) I found three busy monarch caterpillars feeding (this is California mind you we don't have what you could call real winter and lots of life forms that we live here year round.I brought them indoors to protect them from our incredible rains (preferably after a drought but not good for small caterpillars) and watched them grow and eventually pupa.I bought this habitat , put the pupae in and in a few weeks was rewarded with 3 amazing and…

Great value for housing from caterpillars to butterflies

Overall a good product for the price and serves my purpose for housing 10th yes 10! Monarch butterflies after hatching from their chrysalis in my borrowed smaller habitat. I liked the idea of planting a spurge plant in a pot to protect the small caterpillars from threats - apparently they are threatened by a parasite that is out to get them. However, for this to work, it needs to be a fairly small milkweed plant. Either way, this is a great option if you need to keep your newly hatched…
