Arrived with wrong engine.

The motor failed to run in most signal configurations and stalled when the walking speed dropped below a threshold. The signal generator and stepper driver were tested on another motor with the same wiring to rule out any wiring or driver issues. If the engine had been fine, the product would have received 5 stars. Edit: The motor wasn't defective. The problems were due to an independent pulse generator. Rating changed to 5 stars.

Pros
  • High precision, heavy duty Sfu1605, vertical mounting option.
Cons
  • Expensive

Terrible movement and tilt

I bought motion control gear and wanted some mini sliders. I picked them up, they MIGHT be useful to you, but it all depends on how specific you want it to be. I would stay away from CNC work. I use them as macro focus guides and it jiggles quite a bit as they move across the track. It would probably be fine for the Z axis of a CNC plasma, but if you hook one of these up to your CNC router it's going to stick and break. bits. For my use they are tolerable.

Pros
  • Horizontal maximum load capacity: 20 kg; Maximum vertical load: 10 kg, 50 mm per second; 4 M6 nuts on the moving block for workpiece fixing, suitable for 42/57mm stepping motors.
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

The ballscrews are a little rough, but not bad for the price.

I used mine to build a displacement dyno. Motor and ball screw allow readings every 0.025mm in full increments. The ballscrew is a bit rough in places (nicks and nicks) but not enough to cause binding. The trolley's rollers needed to be adjusted and aligned for a smooth ride. Note that the included Nema17 motor has an 8mm round output shaft, not a 5mm D-shaft as shown in the picture. Also, this is a low resistance motor (1.7 amps) and a small controller like the L298N, even if it's rated at 2…

Pros
  • screw strips for movable construction elements.
Cons
  • So far so good
