Fantastic file for hand tools

Fantastic file for metalworking. If you take the time to run it on a piece of flat iron, it works well for reshaping/sharpening knives and wood chisels. It retained grain integrity after reshaping the RC58+ rated bit tip. I had an issue with the grip fit (I'm very picky about such things) but the seller got it right with absolutely no "kickback".

File for sharpening very hard materials

This file is the right size for sharpening teeth on carbide and band saws (they take much longer to sharpen than table saw blades). The flat side is much larger than the semicircular side. Some of the abrasiveness seems to have disappeared from the flat side. I didn't think I abused it. Made in China - this was not stated in the product description.

Carcinogens in Nickel. Use disposable gloves and clean the knives after use.

Works great, my serrated knives and cooks are razor sharp, easy to use and get the job done. Just read the back of the package, it's made in China, so watch out for nickel dust, put on disposable gloves and wash the tools very well, dry with a paper towel or kitchen towel. Wash your apron and clothes once you're done. Nickel is carcinogenic in direct contact with it.
