Quality and time saving!

I really liked this tool. I've used it to scoop out seeds and membranes when cooking pumpkin seeds in a jar. It definitely cut processing time in half!

Pros
  • The delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Some problems

Allows for quick core removal of apple and pear halves

I used an old machine to core apple halves when making snacks for my kids but it broke. I have this and it works great - cores apple halves without popping them out and the narrow end is perfect for removing stem ends.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Almost everything included

Perfect replacement

I had an anti product very similar to this one that didn't last 30 years of canning pears. It was an even better product than the original and I'm very glad I found something to replace my pear corer. They're absolutely necessary if you can eat pears, and come in handy if you eat them, too.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Great price

The best tool in my kitchen

This is the best tool in my kitchen. I've started drying fruits and veggies and it makes them all so easy. I get to pears and apples with such ease. I'm looking forward to making veggie boats with cucumber, zucchini, and zucchini. It would be nice to have a large scraper for pumpkins and large zucchini. I'm adding this to my Christmas list for family and friends.

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • No instructions

Hard to find, finally found and quality

We were so happy to find them for canning as we were desperately holding on to the ones from 40-50 years ago when people knew what it took to make a great Number of fruits to cook correctly. I used to get one from Oxo and it didn't even make enough for an apple pie so I was a bit skeptical about ordering but it was great. Not sure if it's as durable as our antiques, but it's close enough that this isn't a problem.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Negative impression

Something you never thought you would need

I used a tomato corer to remove seeds from cucumbers. With this kitchen tool you clean the seeds. With this tool you cut the channel and remove the seeds in one long piece. You need it? no I took a cooking class at a winery in Tuscany and the chef prepared the food with a paring knife and mezzaluna. But if you like tools, you can use this device to trim fruits and vegetables to perfection.

  • An Absolute Legend

Great for coring fresh pears

Does the job well. We use it to core fresh raw pears to prepare them for baking in our bakery. Because pears are relatively fragile and pear-shaped, most conventional corers and peelers cannot be used. And slicing out the core with a knife or spoon can be a mess when they're very ripe. I remembered this little device from being a kitchen helper 45 years ago and was glad it was still around. And stainless steel!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • A nuisance

It was the answer to my prayers!

I prayed to the kitchen gods for a coring/peeling tool that would gently deworm raw artichokes. Nothing I had that needed gutting or trimming did the job. It did! I had a similar design a few years ago, just right handed. It worked a little but I needed better. It's great, especially because it's double-sided! Also, it's a better and more durable pen than the one I had before. I will continue to use THIS for all my other gutting/peeling work such as: B. the cutting of an apple and the coring.

Pros
  • Good Thing
Cons
  • Periodicity
