🛠️ Trimaco Easy Mask Tape & Drape - General Purpose Tape, 22-inch x 100-ft Review

It's 100% easier to use than tape/gun to mask windows and doors. But the included tape doesn't stick to anything for more than 5 minutes. But even then it hardly burns. Do yourself a favor and buy another premium reel. Glue and tape over it once it's applied to make it stick. Love the idea and ease of use, hate the ribbon quality.

This has to be one of the most useful inventions! I painted my brass shower doors silver. Spray painting indoors is a pretty messy job. This material protected my walls and floor from splashes. It took me ages to dress up the frame but then I taped that over duct tape. Super quick and easy to use. The adhesion of the plastic film supports the application process. You can even use it vertically! Will definitely use it for my next painting project.

Very disappointed! Do not use Trimaco Drape & Tape in areas exposed to direct sunlight. I used it to coat a boat motor and the sun seemed to break down some of the chemicals in the plastic (but not some of the tape). Traces were visible in places where the plastic upholstery came into contact with the paintwork of the engine. I wasn't able to remove the residues with conventional cleaners and I don't want to damage the engine paintwork with more aggressive cleaners.

I am a painter and have been using this product for 4-5 years. This works very well in most places. The temperature makes it difficult to use and this is not meant to be applied and used the next day etc. I can apply and paint most of the time, but in thinner areas of the finish I leave an inch and then use blue masking tape to keep it in place and make my thin line into a band. It's not magic plaster that makes everything perfect, but if used wisely, it saves a lot of touch-up time.

I used a pre-sealed PlazMask Masking Sheet and reordered it because it was a little cheaper. Big mistake. The tape didn't stick even after the second press and the air pressure from the sprayer loosened the tape. Ruined my efforts and had to repeat. I don't like to write negative reviews. If I don't like a product I just won't buy it again, but this product seriously needs improvement. Until the manufacturer fixes the problem, stay away.

Used this for caulking and sealing windows when painting walls and also to protect my carpet while painting. I was surprised that it stuck to the carpet so well. When applying the tape to paint the trim, I unrolled about 2 feet at a time, placed it near the edge of the baseboard, pulled it out, and pushed it under the boards a little.
