🎨 Trimaco X-Board: Lightweight Surface Protector for Painting & Remodeling - 1 Roll, 35" x 100 ft Review

Really great protection, easy to remove. Better than corrugated boxes. I'd rather put it aside and move on than having to re-scrub the floors and carpets every time I have a job when people have to come in and out. You can use it on both hard floors and carpets, but the "adhesive tape" type on carpet sticks better.

Lays flat and does not need to be twisted. Seems about 3 times thicker than their construction paper, durable for walking/falling things. Tears when heavy objects are pulled on it, especially furniture legs or the corner of a tool box. Handles small spills better than expected. Lasts several weeks with light daily foot traffic. I used 2.88"3m of blue tape to attach and connect the pieces and it worked fine.

We did a complete bathroom renovation and protected our parquet floors with it. A guide from a previous project where I used brown floor protection paper is a big mistake. I left with an improved product and was not disappointed. After putting some plastic first, I put it on top of the plastic. When I removed everything after the 8 week project the floors were in the same condition. From the paint to the grout, nothing leaked out. I highly recommend this product.

This is my fourth pack. I still use all of the Revain and other crates we have, but it's a lot easier to use. I recently covered a 100' x 14' patch for new rows of berries and other perennial fruits/vegs with chip paths between rows. It all looks great. I overlapped rows of cardboard, added 3 rows of soil and compost with wood shavings around and between the rows. It all looks great. This plot of land has been used as grazing land and there is no more realistic and sustainable way to turn weedy

I used to use red rosin paper as flooring during work and construction. We recently had a professional job and they used this product which I really liked. I bought the reel myself and when the pros were done I set it aside for my work. I like paper very, very much. It's about 3-4 times thicker than red rosin paper, rolls well, cuts easily, and lasts much longer. I am absolutely satisfied with it and very glad that I found it. I recently used this to protect the floor while using an HVLP sprayer to finish some finishing materials around my house. The product does not lay flat initially, but will lay flat after a few minutes. One thing I noticed is that the blue masking tape I used to tape it to the bottom didn't stick to the X-board at all. If you've got new floors In a room you know is going to last a long time, with lots of workers stomping around and ladders and miscellaneous equipment running around, this is it a product worth attention. The sturdy Ram Board has its place but is much easier to use while still offering long life and excellent protection. It's heavier than even strong rosin paper, but lays down almost as easily.
