Enhanced Trailer Coupler and U-Lock: Trimax UMAX50D Universal Dual Purpose Review

I install so the key is under the fob. You have to climb under it to see the keyhole. Seems to be working, nobody has stolen my trailer since I installed it a few weeks ago.

Seems secure but comes in three pieces. It is difficult to fix the work with three separate parts. I had several Trimax locks so I bought this one.

Strong clutch lock. Slightly awkward locking mechanism as the weight of the base lifts off the shackle while you manipulate the key. I've secured a caravan trailer and feel as safe as it gets.

I did a lot of research to look for a boat trailer trailer lock. I made the choice and I don't regret it. It's strong, heavy metal and a solid, well-designed product. Forget the others, the reviews on this one are great because it really is. Easy to use, has two buttons, looks great and does what it's supposed to. Easy to install and remove. Couldn't be happier!

I needed a security device for my food trailer and after trying a few lower quality locks (one broke on a key lock and the other didn't fit the tongue ) I found this solid clutch lock that worked great. It adapts perfectly to the round shape of the ball hitch. And the advice I learned from the one that broke is to add some WD40 to the teeth (both sides) for smooth operation and rust protection. Definitely worth keeping your belongings safe!

The best tongue lock ever used! Very impressed and the customer service is great. I have a Reese with a 2 5/16 tongue and it does the job but it's a monster. The lock has a chamfer, making it impossible to hit it hard with a hammer. The clip is twice as thick as the Reese and unlike the Reese has teeth on both sides. I received the lock today and my first impression was "This lock is a beast!" It's hard work in every way. There are two distractions in this castle. I opened the package and immediately saw LOTS of rust spots on the U-lock. Apparently the Chinese haven't perfected their electroplating. It really pissed me off.
