Much better than I expected

To be honest the quality of these gloves is a lot better than I expected. They are made from a combination of leather, elastic/polyester and Kevlar-woven polyester for the fingertips. The fingers are pretty thin but they fit me pretty well. They feel stiff at first but they just take a little getting used to and start to feel quite comfortable.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons

Questionable quality

After only TWO RIDES there is already a hole on the ring finger of the right hand. Mind you, I'm new to the sport so I've NOT raced at high speeds. The other fingertips are already starting to wear out. Otherwise the gloves work well, the pucks hold up well, they're somewhat breathable, they're comfortable (as far as new gloves go), but they already wear more than I think. I may have gotten a bad pair, but I'm not interested in getting a new set to find out.

Pros
  • Good grades for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Almost never

4/5 stars because they grind!

The size was approaching. Straps and comfort are just what you need for mountain riding. The pucks that come with the gloves have survived hundreds of slips over the summer and I am now looking for replacement pucks. Fingertip durability is my only conclusion. The Kevlar finger pads are A1 certified so I brush concrete waves, touchscreen access still works but iffy (I assume that because I love running my hands around the streets). I recommend.

  • New

Mediocre construction

The gloves are strong enough to slide but the materials are not strong enough to protect the back/side of the fingers in an impact. I did an accidental Superman at about 12mph after tangling in a manhole and landing with my right pinky. The tissue on my ankle had more or less evaporated and I had a bumpy rash. To avoid this, I wear gloves. Especially at this price point, they need more durable fabrics or overlays on the back of the hand. The seam at the tip of the index finger also didn't fit…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Negative impression

Nothing to fault. Save your hands, take them.

Fits my large hand. You can use finger glides to avoid damaging the material on your fingers, but with practice you will be able to keep your fingers off the concrete and you will have more dexterity in your hands without them if you don't slip or get slower. I'm very glad I got it, made me feel a lot more confident. When I fall, I always go with my hands first, so sliding pucks take quite a bit of impact force, and then you're on your knees, arms, and hips that need their own protection. Even…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide

Exceptional best in gloves

When I received my Freebord about 3 weeks ago I knew straight away that I was going to need gliding gloves. So I did some shopping and found this. I also found another pair of triple eights with thumb and finger pucks, but I went for a more nimble option. The puck does what it's supposed to, glides and provides enough friction to create a point where you can pivot. While the fingertips are Kevlar, they are thin and the thread holding the Kevlar is not itself Kevlar. That being said, if gloves…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
