I bought it for a Lumix soap dish, it holds it perfectly. I tried to connect it with a Nikon DSLR - it stays on, but it's very dumb. Below, between the three legs, there is a screw for disassembling this miracle, unscrewed it, disassembled it, put a small washer under the screw and reassembled it. Now the legs move apart 2-3 times wider, a very stable design is obtained, it can be safely used in conjunction with heavy DSLRs. Of course, if you do not have a long telephoto lens :)

I personally do not want to carry such a colossus with me. And there is not always a place for its layout. So for me this model is perfect.
