Small compact but strong ball head

Nice small size but very strong. It's a very strong, reliable construction. Very easy to use, panning is smooth. Love it. It's worth it.

Small and robust: Camera and photo

Exactly what I needed to complement my monopod. This ball head is very tight and does not slip. I replaced the cold shoe with a small swiss arca clip to hold the grip when attaching the camera.

Everything I was hoping for

I bought this to use on a monopod and small table tripod legs. It works great on both and doesn't look too big. It's small (which is what I wanted) but very strong. Very happy with this purchase

Very strong ball head with smooth rotation

Perfect for what I need and not too big. The ball head moved smoothly and stayed in place after locking. I've only used it on compact cameras and flashlights, but I think it's good enough for a DSLR.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Nothing

Reliable, inexpensive, gets the job done

This Ulanzi head is very compact - with a small bracket - but I use it to mount my ZV-1 on my MixPre 6 II so I have a full build have in live broadcast setup with high fidelity/high res for zoom. Do people complain about the narrow bracket? Use this for compact cameras instead of big interchangeable lenses - you'll need to upgrade to a more powerful ball head anyway. But for compacts, the thing is cool.

Compact, powerful, inexpensive ball head

This is a very strong tripod ball head, suitable for light work. I use it to mount my webcam, but it's good for both point and shoot and mirrorless cameras (with a reasonable lens length - I wouldn't use it with a body that comes with a 100-300mm lens is equipped). I really like that the ARCA cymbal is about half the size of a regular cymbal, but if you want to use a larger cymbal it should fit. The cold mount on the side is a nice feature that allows you to use an external microphone or a…

Ideal for iPad Pro: Tripods and Monopods

I love everything about this product. I've used a slightly smaller product from another manufacturer for years, and the iPad Pro's weight always wobbled - it wouldn't stay in place. This product has the perfect size suit wrench. I can put it in any position, tighten and make the arrow hard, no kinks. Color, workmanship and everything else top. Edit: Just found a hidden feature. The ball lock lever can be pulled out to change its position (like a dial used to adjust an analog watch). This is…

Good for smaller devices

Essentially, I wanted a ball head that was much more reliable and functional than small (and cheap) lightweight ball heads. I bought two of these U-80L ball heads to use on my small tabletop tripods and also to attach accessories to super clamp mounts. This ball head is on the low end of medium duty. It doesn't have the durability of heavy-duty ball heads (for heavier objects). However, this article is well made for what I want. What to pay attention to: 1) The plate is quite small, but…
