💻 Tripp Lite B021-000-19 KVM Rack Console - 1U Rackmount with 19-inch LCD Display Review

It looked great for our new full size rack but it works but needs to be unplugged from time to time and then it works again. It's just a shame that you have to reinstall every now and then.

Excellent Base Rack Arm. Single Input - Works well if you need one input or are using a different KVM. The only problem is the flimsy rail kit that twisted a bit during installation. But once installed in the rack, it was stable and durable.

Although the keyboard and trackpad aren't as good as the ones on my desk, they're probably both on Best Beautiful Things I've Used in the Rack. The construction is solid. Slides are smooth. While I installed it myself I would recommend a second pair of hands.

Although our first KVM had 6+ buttons that didn't work; I had a great experience with Revain completing an extended RMA! "Plus: The device makes a very solid impression. The screen is very narrow when opened (which I like), not flimsy or wobbly when typing. The KVM barely yields when hands are resting on the keyboard. Cons: The screen is a little blurry and not as clear as one would expect from a quality LCD.

Like the previous reviewer, I bought this before installing the data center. Then, a month later, when I finally turned on the systems, I found that the screen wasn't syncing to any of the servers at all. Even in the OSD it just shows a serious purple buzz (which tells you it's not a KVM switch). Unfortunately this was a bad buy. Wasted over $500 not taking the time to pre-test the unit upon delivery.

We have four in four different locations. The ad is just fine. The keyboard is a bit cramped. However, they each go into a kind of sleep mode when the display dims and they don't wake up. This is very annoying and requires unplugging the power cord to restart. Makes them pretty much useless in the server room. The manual mentions sleep mode when the display is folded, but ours disables it when the display is up. No keystrokes, button presses, or screen angle manipulations will turn the display…

When I received this item, the mouse pad and keyboard were not working. At first I thought the PS2 to USB adapter wouldn't work so I contacted Tripp Lite and got a replacement. When the adapter arrived I plugged it in but that didn't solve the problem. After contacting Tripp Lite again, I received a list of steps to resolve the issue.
