I gave 5 stars because it works as described with no problems. I wouldn't say excellent just because what it does is pretty basic. This is a replacement of the same make and model that I had had for several years with no problems but recently stopped working. So I must have been happy with it because I bought it again :)

I used it with a Tripp Lite 1U Monitor/Keyboard Drawer which was cheaper than the high end model with KVM built in. The couple works great. What I really liked about this KVM is that it has machines connected that use any combination of PS2, USB, DVI and VGA. All work great. KVM also allows keyboard shortcuts to switch processors, so you don't have to worry about the KVM buttons being easily accessible.

This product works great except for the USB port which uses a USB mouse/keyboard. I am currently using a PS/2 keyboard and a USB mouse. The mouse runs rooted to the ground, as if on steroids. too fast and hard to click anything. I've used 2-3 different brands of USB mice with the same results, emails at Tripp Lite just give you a polite email reply telling you to call support and everyone knows how is trying to get a live person to talk without all the automation junk/voicemail.
