Pivoting / movable bracket. Not suitable if you are over 250lbs

It says 275lbs but when I hung a 270lb TV on it almost every part of the bracket started to bend. I think it's only rated for 275, fully pressed against the wall. When I started cutting it out with scissors everything was spinning and I was afraid he was going to drop my 86 inch monitor! I sent it back straight away and took the 350 lb retainer.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Strap

Requires two people to install - But it's SUPER solid

No trouble fixing it - great. But it would be nice if their instructions included a reminder to measure the height and width of your TV, the height and width of the wall mount, find the centers of each, and determine the TV's intended center point after you've hung it high . I installed it very close to the old mount and the new larger TV was about 10 inches lower than I would have liked. too much work to uninstall and reinstall (so I'll live with that).

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Some difficulty

Highly recommended. Easy to install, a bit of spirit level helps but I didn't rely on that. The only gripe is that unless your TV is going to be fairly centered over the B-pillar, it can be too short to mount 18-inch studs to the wall. Otherwise, the TV will sit to one side of the wall mount's centerline, which may or may not be an issue depending on the size of your TV - the ends of the wall mount may protrude behind the TV. This wasn't a problem on my 60" Samsung, but on 50" and smaller you…

Be careful with the cable tie attached

Husband ordered some kind of cable to be installed after the cable tie was already installed. To install the cable, we had to unlock the bracket. Be careful when pulling the two cords to unlock the brackets on either side! My husband is overbearing and impatient so he pulled very hard until one of the strings snapped which had us wrestling with a screwdriver to try and disengage the locking mechanism. We decided to remove the TV from the mount so I could build a strong rope so this wouldn't…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

The built-in spirit level is incorrect.

The only real complaint I have (aside from the inaccuracy of the level) is the lack of space at the back. After the TV is installed, you'd better connect everything you need properly. Check each connection before connecting the TV to this unit. It holds my 85" Sony perfectly. Weight isn't an issue. (I attached 6 screws to my cleats). The angle isn't easy to adjust and the range is very limited. Page on this unit before I screwed it on. Um You will need a very long Phillips screwdriver to access

Be careful with the strap attached

My husband ordered a specific type of cable to be installed after the mount was already in place. To install the cable, we had to unlock the bracket. Be careful when pulling the two cords to unlock the brackets on either side! My husband is overbearing and impatient so he pulled really hard until he snapped one of the strings which had us wrestling with a screwdriver to try and loosen the locking mechanism. We decided to remove the TV from the mount so I could build a strong rope so this…

Seems solid. No Complaints

I have a 60-100" swivel model with a mount for my new 86" flat screen. The TV weighs around 100 pounds and I needed a mount that would hold it securely without fear of it falling over. This mount's 275 pound weight gave me confidence that it could handle 100 pounds. Installation was pretty easy. I made sure the pilot holes for the lag bolts were centered properly in my cleats. The only problem I had was that I didn't have a drill bit long enough to drill pilot holes as deep as the instructions…
