TRIXIE Lounge Hammock Furniture Scratching Review

Very sturdy hammock was a bit of a challenge to put together but overall a great little ensemble for cats. Especially when a stranger comes by, my shy kitty can hide in the pod. Her mother sleeps in a hammock every day.

I won't lie, it wasn't that easy to put together. My husband used a different (stronger) fitting than the one that came with it. Once you put it on the wall, it's worth seeing how cats love it! That's the most important thing in the end :)

Assembly was a bit of a puzzle as the instructions swapped the mounting screws between the posts and the egg pod. It was a lot easier when I figured it out. Nice and strong if you have good wall anchors. Purchasing aftermarket anchors is recommended, as are most of these simple kits. My kittens are bigger so it's too small for them. Small domestic cats or kittens would probably go crazy.

I got this to help my cat stay away from the kids especially my son if he's bothering him too much. I think that the price for such a combination is quite acceptable. He hit it the first day we nailed it to the wall and then it looks like he forgot or we placed the first one too high to jump on. We can lower them when we have time. I love it. I still give this place 5 stars. Like a playground for little cats, it gets the job done!

We bought and installed 2 sets of Trixie's Wall Mounted Lounges. Our three cats love them but after just 10 months one of the lines broke the board. Looks like we'll have to buy a whole set to replace the sling. If Trixie made the material more durable they would have an amazing product. I made the material headband because I thought my cats might need a visual "catch" to help them jump from perch to perch. You can see that in one of the pictures. However, they still didn't need it.
