TRIXIE Natura Vinyl Flaps Classic Review

This was fitted to an outdoor kennel that did not have a flap. I had to trim the sides and bottoms to fit the hole so it opens and closes easily. The plastic is thick and protects well from wind and rain, but it's easy for our pet to get up and walk. He goes straight to the house when it's cold outside. I also put a chicken coop heater (looks like a small LED TV) in the house to keep it warm.

I appreciate it being thick plastic for weather protection but parts get stuck in the 'open position' and rain seeps into the kennel. If there were several of them, not so wide pieces, they would better keep their shape and protect from bad weather. We use it as a door to our dog house which was inhabited by a stray cat. The cat has a hard time pushing through the plastic due to the thickness, but the dog does better. When fall comes we plan to ditch it and buy a more true cat sized door (our…
