Very nice tree on Activity Trees

I've had this tree since January. Four months later I'm happy to report that the cats still love it. I'm 5ft 2in and it comes down to my shoulder. I'm glad he's not bigger because I have a clumsy kitten. I have three cats and they all sleep on the top bed. It never tipped over, although the kittens tried their wild chases. You scratch it every day and it's holding up well. This tree has 3 platforms and my cats love resting on each of them. They use every aspect of this tree. I am thinking ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • No automatic

The Altea scratching post is strong and beautifully finished. It was easy to assemble. We are very happy with the cat. She often uses all three platforms, especially the top one. She hasn't used any of the scratching posts yet, but that's probably because she has several other scratching posts that she takes turns using. Since the struts usually wear out first, I'm glad she hasn't put Altea struts on her scratches yet. The pompom is plush and voluminous. I replaced the string attaching theโ€ฆ

Incredible colour, fantastic design

I was a bit skeptical about ordering this blade because it was listed as 'beige' in the description and it didn't look beige in the pictures. It's not beige, but a neutral gray with a beige cast - it will blend in perfectly with any room that's decorated in neutral tones without drawing too much attention. In the last few weeks I have dismantled 3 old scratching posts and assembled 3 new ones. This was by far the easiest to complete, taking less than 1/2 hour. The workmanship is solid and myโ€ฆ

4+ years and still good

We've had it for over 4 years now. I would buy it again because about thirty dollars is a great price. Summary - it continues in the corner. Adequate size for a giant catfish although a regular size is preferred. The rope needs to be replaced from time to time, but it is more prone to scratches than a carpet. weighed down with several stones. My huge 17 lb long and tall cat loves to curl up on a brick pedestal (it's weird) or lower platforms. He will sit on the highest and sometimes take a napโ€ฆ

My little cat loves it but it's not for a fat cat

I paid $35 for this and give it 3 stars for the price and the fact that my cat took to it right away to scratch and ball games. Then she crouched on it to rest. But after she tried it, I had to take it apart and put it back together because of the wobble. The problem with this tree is that it has no instructions and if you don't assemble it in the exact position as shown in the picture something will go wrong. The second thing that is wrong or could be improved is the bottom part with pawโ€ฆ

Inexpensive and what we wanted

Posting now mainly to share a photo that may help people 'see' the size. Our cat currently weighs about 11 pounds (about 11 years old). After reading other reviews I was expecting something pretty cheap. I think I got exactly what I ordered. Time will tell but I can see where the fabric may tear. My husband placed ours on the wall under the sill where the top tier actually overlaps the sill perfectly - it's JUST the right height for us; so it's pretty stable as it goes. What I like: obviouslyโ€ฆ

  • Have doubts

Best spent on a scratching post.

Oh my god, this is one of the best under $30 products I've spent my money on. I have a new kitten. So teaching her young to use clawed posts (or it will be your furniture) is very important. I've bought several cat apartments as I've always had a cat or two in my house. And yes, I've spent over a hundred on a few trees. The quality is no better than this. They are all thrown away because the rope breaks after about a year. Five, count them as five perfect scratching posts! in this very strongโ€ฆ
