This bed has an oval opening and a slightly raised front. It has longer fur around the opening. My cat loves laying in this bed and looks like she's hiding because all I can see is her ears. Very cozy.

This is her first cave bed so I think it's ok. She is a little overweight, 8 pounds, and can sit up and roll over just fine. I think it's good quality and the pillow is good - a few inches thick. In general I am very satisfied.
