Type of review

The Trudeau butter dish is a beautiful piece of tableware. Everything fits together well and there are no visible flaws. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is because the oil is not that cold compared to the oil bell. It's definitely firmer than room temperature, but with the butter dome, the butter is more like it was pulled out of the fridge a while ago and is a bit firmer and cooler. On the plus side, it's easier to just toss in a knob of butter than to wait for it to warm up a bit so…

The best way to store butter

I've had my butter boat for over 30 years and everyone who comes to my house loves it. I bought an oil boat for each of my kids and a few friends. It also works great in Florida in the heat. The boat never needs oil cooling and the oil is always soft and fresh. I read some reviews complaining about water sloshing out of the boat when moving. Handles butter with care

I wonder how we lived without them! I've kept butter on the counter at room temperature for years because I can't try to spread tough bits of butter on my toast. But in truth, it often got too soft and ended up looking pretty unsightly. In this small oil boat, the water below seems to keep the oil just a few degrees cooler.
