so far so good. I like that you can adjust the thickness of the slices. I don't know how to replace the cable. So far I haven't had the need to change the cable. I will cross this bridge when I reach it.

I only use this product for cheese and it works quite well. The only issue I have is the adjustable tabs on the side to set the thickness of the slice. It tends to move during cutting in some cases, it just needs to be tightened. Can be difficult to solve, but that shouldn't be a problem. This product is very easy to clean and the durability is excellent.

This slicer is ideal for medium-hard to soft cheese, e.g. Cheddar to mozzarella. I actually bought two slicers together. The other is a counter model to the tough Jarlsberg that we like. This food slicer is comfortable to hold, easy to use and easy to clean with a dish brush thanks to the smooth surface. The cutting wire is thin and cuts the above cheeses cleanly without undue resistance. This thin wire makes it impractical for very hard cheeses. Highly recommend with a reservation about hard…
