I bought these for my daughter. She likes swimming trunks. She is 7 years old but she is tall and thin. Size 6 fits perfectly.

Please note that different styles of shorts are manufactured differently. Although they are from the same brand and manufacturer and have a size 10-12 on the tag, the style is true to size with cargo pockets on the sides. A model without cargo pockets on the sides will be large.

They have a drawstring inside to adjust the waist and the legs are longer above the knee and the crazy print on the shorts looks cute.

If your little boy has shorter legs, you may need to seam them or wait until they are older. The drawstring works which is a HUGE plus as our boy has a small waist!
