🔌 Tsurumi LB-480; Portable Slimline Dewatering Pump, 2/3hp, 115V, 2-inch Discharge Review

As a result of my tests, I determined that this water pump's pumping power was below average. It couldn't handle a consistent flow and clogged frequently. The build quality was flimsy and didn't seem up to par with other Tools and Home Improvement products. The one positive aspect was its slim design, but that was overshadowed by its lack of function. I would not recommend this pump as it was a waste of money and effort.

After renting one from Sunbelt we decided it would be easier to own one ourselves. If it survives being part of a rental park (which isn't bad with rental pumps), it should be good.

I use three of these to pump water 28 feet uphill from my 10,000 gallon carp pond to a stream/fall 24 hours a day, 7 days a week week to operate. It's been 1.5 years but the local store I bought them from refused to cover them with a guarantee so I'm buying them from Revain now. The other two I have at the moment are just over 3 years old. My biggest problem with this is the small size of the suction holes, they often get clogged with seeds from nearby trees, needles and algae from the pond…
