Great tubular tire for the price!

I've never installed new tubes, but my track bike really needs them. I used Tufo tubular rim tape (sold separately) instead of cement and the tires fit easily and were lighter than some clincher tires I've installed. I haven't ridden them on the velodrome yet, but the initial inline skating practice went very well. The surface seems quite grippy and I'm looking forward to taking it to the velodrome.

  • cool product

Terrible durability - cheap, two early failures with no puncture (Details)

Bought two of these this summer. both failed without being pierced by road debris. In fact, both simply separated and became porous at the junction of the tread with the rear - at the "sewing pointโ€. Once annoying, the second - a pattern. I drive less than 25 miles a week, maybe less than 20. I don't know what to say other than "expect to replace them every two months with little use". Crazy! Previous tires were > years old.

Great training tire

I've been using these tires for a while and haven't had any problems. It can be a little tricky to set up, but once you've typed it up, it should be pretty easy to get going. To avoid flats, insert Stan's No-Tube (about 2 ounces) after installation and you're done. I had audible panels and they closed in about 20 seconds and the pressure dropped from 130psi to 90psi. Never stopped or driven home, pumped back up to 130 and haven't had any problems since. I would take a closer look at Revain asโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

good tire from a great brand

These are great training tires although they feel heavy and look a little wide and beaded. They have good handling and a smooth ride. I got a flat tire after about 500 ml. Luckily the tire held air until I got home. It took Cafelatex some time to fix the leak. I didn't care about the vision and the hard ride anyway, so after the apartment I switched to Tufo S33specials. the tires are fine, they just didn't have "it". I have ridden 3 different styles of Tufo and they have all worked flawlesslyโ€ฆ
