I've never installed new tubes, but my track bike really needs them. I used Tufo tubular rim tape (sold separately) instead of cement and the tires fit easily and were lighter than some clincher tires I've installed. I haven't ridden them on the velodrome yet, but the initial inline skating practice went very well. The surface seems quite grippy and I'm looking forward to taking it to the velodrome.

Bought two of these this summer. both failed without being pierced by road debris. In fact, both simply separated and became porous at the junction of the tread with the rear - at the "sewing point”. These are great training tires although they feel heavy and look a little wide and beaded. They have good handling and a smooth ride. I got a flat tire after about 500 ml. Luckily the tire held air until I got home. It took Cafelatex some time to fix the leak. I didn't care about the vision and the hard ride anyway, so after the apartment I switched to Tufo S33specials. the tires are fine, they just didn't have "it".
