I wasn't impressed with the actual paint colors. They didn't match the color of the caps at all and 3 out of 5 colors look pretty much the same. The red dye left a residue on the fabric no matter how well I mixed it. I haven't washed it yet, so I can't say if it washes off or not. I don't agree with people who said they could do over 5 projects with this set unless it's kids clothes. 1 bottle was only enough for 1 small and 1 medium adult shirt, and none of them had very large areas of color. Great color set. I agree with others that there should be more red. Red runs out first every time. You will also need additional elastic bands (or we tightly knitted the second and third t-shirts with yarn). The most important thing to know is that this set is only suitable for 2 men's XL shirts or 3 children's shirts if you want bold colors. And that's an exaggeration. We managed to dye 11 pieces of clothing (6 children's shirts and 5 overalls). If you are purchasing multiple adult shirts I would recommend purchasing 2 of these or a separate red set as this set has run out of red color. I'd love to hear from reviewers before me why this kit doesn't have enough red dye for their shirts.
